Load Testing
In order to assess if a piece of timber is appropriate for use in a structure it may be necessary to have it load tested. GreenBeams.com have manufactured a portable test rig that allows the properties of the timber to be measured on site.
The test rig can be used to check the floor joist or beam capacity of new or existing structures. In particular it can be used to determine whether recently felled trees or logs have the capacity to be used for load bearing purposes.
